Michael Levin é um fotógrafo reconhecido internacionalmente pela poesia das suas imagens. Em 2006 foi selecionado como International Photographer of the Year nos International Photography Awards em Nova Iorque, e recebeu por duas vezes o Fine Art Photographer of the Year no PX3 Prix de la Photographie Awards em Paris em 2007 e em 2009.
Os seus trabalhos fotográficos de 2011 foram realizados na companhia de Brad Kremer que criou um pequeno documentário sobre o processo criativo de Michael Levin. O documentário é também ele um objeto de rara beleza que merece ser destacado. O objetivo de Brad Kremer não era apenas documentar o trabalho de Michael Levin, mas ir mais longe que isso, ilustrar o processo e criar uma visão em sincronia com a fotografia. Nas suas palavras,
I wanted to document Michael at work, in Japan, in a way that hasn't really been explored with photographers. I told Michael of my idea to make an artistic representation of his experiences in the Land of the Rising Sun - to show him in his working environment in a way that complimented his work. Not to explain it with words, but to feel it through the flow of the film. I wanted to show the process, the journey, the adventure in a way that would give the viewer and emotional connection to Michael and his photography.
